My time at Saint Mary’s has been a rollercoaster with ups and downs.
I still remember when it was my first day at school, my dad came with me for the first half to help me get settled in along with the help of my kind room 1 teacher Mrs Mcdonald I made friends with people who helped with school work and getting through a hot summer day, one of the things I mainly still remember is when we used to have a lap of going around the playground and see who was the fastest. In room 1 I wasn’t quite sure of what was right and wrong i used to think that destroying peoples lego ships was okay because i wanted the parts they had.
One of the highlights of my room 5 years was camp. It’s a place where you strengthen your relationships with others and help eachother out and not to mention the food was really great. My last camp got paid for by a grant and we’re all very grateful. Other schools would have to make their pupils pay for their camps. But at saint mary’s we’re lucky enough to get important stuff paid for.
Ive been here for a long 8 years almost three quarters of my life and spending time with people who i've become close with along the way and with all the knowledge i've been taught im sure im ready for highschool. High School is going to be a big change for me and it will take some time to get used to, but i'm sure this school has prepared me for the big step in my life.
This school is where i grew up and where i remember spending 8 important years of my life it has taught me the values of being religious and a few life lessons. As i look back on my saint marys journey i can easily, as this is the only primary school i've been to, its by far the best with a kind and caring community with teachers and a principal who look on the students as their own. It’s scary knowing that ill be leaving such a kind hearted school in two days I will surely miss everyone and especially my friends.
